How do you get a fake Google review removed?

Short answer

You can't delete a review yourself. You flag it for removal, and Google takes it down only if it breaks the content policies — fake, off-topic, conflict-of-interest, or abusive content qualifies; an honest bad review does not.

The steps

• Find the review in your Business Profile and flag it as inappropriate.
• Report it through Business Profile support and, if needed, the review-management tools, explaining which policy it violates.
• Provide any evidence you have — no record of the customer, proof it's a competitor, screenshots of harassment.
• Reply publicly and factually in the meantime, so prospects see your side while the report is pending.

Set realistic expectations

Removal is decided by Google, not you, and it isn't fast or guaranteed. Only policy-violating reviews come down — you can't get rid of a genuine one-star just because it stings. For those, a calm, well-handled public reply is the real remedy.
